Here’s Pat HavilandTeens today have a dizzying array of opportunities and struggles that are unique to this generation. With the continued growth of the internet, television, cable, and movies, it’s sometimes difficult to discern what direction to go next. St. Paul in his first letter to Timothy shares a message of encouragement for all our young people: “Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity...do not neglect the gift you have… 1 Timothy 4:12 Our teens have a tremendous gift of energy, passion and insight and are hungering for authentic values and experiences to guide their lives. They can only find this through Christ.
Pat has been in full time youth ministry for the last 8 years and within the last 2 years, became engaged, got married and is now the proud father of 3 month old Andrew! Pat brings a desire to share Christ with teens and young adults in an authentic and relational way. His goals for ministry are Prayer, People and then Programs. Connecting with God, listening and sharing with the people around you and then organizing a program around the needs of the community. Pat brings a wealth of knowledge through his experiences with small groups facilitation, large group outreaches, rallies, retreats, skits, talks, games, newsletters, team building, adult training, peer ministry and prayer. Pat is a member of Fox River Youth Ministers (F.R.Y.M.) and is a founding member of Camp WOW, a week long middle school retreat. He has also helped organize and facilitate catechetical training for area adult leaders. Current EmploymentEducationTopics of Talks Offered |
