Here’s Mark Herwaldt

Today’s culture presents a grand illusion of wealth, beauty, power, and fame. Our Holy Father calls for a new evangelization to win over our youth for Christ. We need to proclaim the gospel and give this generation hope. Hope that there is more to this world than empty promises, lost relationships, and failed dreams. Our teens have within them the call to change this world. They need to know that they were created with a purpose. The Holy Father said to all the youth in Toronto “I am counting on you. The church needs you.”

Mark has been working full time in youth ministry for 13 years. He started volunteering in youth ministry 21 years ago. He is currently the Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Rockford, Il.. He is married and has five children. He has experience in every phase of youth ministry: retreats, camps, outreach, scripture study, rallies, youth leader training, and adult leader training. He has worked with young adults, high school and junior high teens.
